Happy Land

Rural "Happy Land GeoPark"

We entered "Happy Land GeoPark", another testament to the Czech concern for children.  The very "natural" , multi-acre, playground combined itself with a "food court", educational amphitheater, and a deep canyon  nature walk.

30-40 foot tree trunk

Natural sculptures abound.

Play structure

In this area a dozen or more smaller natural play structure zones existed for children to climb on.  In another area, modern all metal play structures were available.

"Should I jump?"

Sofia walked on tires connected by rope to boards that were connected to the next tire and did not touch the ground: the precursor to a gymnastics balance beam.  Ten tires in a row made this an enduring challenge to balance.

How royalty was transported
 before carriages

Grandchildren not children, as is popularly thought, are definitely what make men go bald as is clearly, visually demonstrated here in this three generational picture.

"Hang on Sofia, Hang on!"

The most popular structure is the "zip-line."  There are two for different age groups and when you reach the end of the line a spring shoots you half way back up the line; children love it.

"Wait a minute,
something's not right"
And we worry about recycling old tires.
